Biography

Warat Bureephakdee is a 22-year-old filmmaker based in Bangkok. His work spans narrative cinema, experimental film, and documentary, drawing inspiration from history, contemporary politics, and the ways individuals and societies respond to change, particularly the struggles of younger generations across different eras in Thailand and beyond. He first gained recognition with works screened at Wildtype 2022, and has since received several directing awards, including the Special White Elephant Award at the 26th Thai Short Film and Video Festival (2022), Best Experimental Short Film at the 6th PRISM UBD Short Film Festival in Brunei (2023), an Honorable Mention from the Young Producer 2025 Pitching Session, and the Audience Award at the Amazing Stoner Movie Festival 2025.
