Biography

Michael Antonio Keane is an award-winning Spanish-Irish filmmaker and actor distinguished by his atmospheric storytelling and exploration of youth subcultures. A student of the National Film School at IADT, Keane first gained international recognition with his pandemic-era documentary Covid Éire (2020), which was acquired by Amazon Prime Video and earned the Spirit Award at the IFTA-qualifying IndieCork Film Festival. His follow-up work garnered further accolades, including a Jury Award at the Student World Impact Film Festival and a screening at the AMC Empire 25 in Times Square. Keane’s most ambitious project to date, Into the Silence, is an immersive period drama set against the backdrop of Ireland’s 1990s acid house movement.
