Daniel âHurricaneâ Gilbert, born 18 March 1974 in HindĂ„s, HĂ€rryda Municipality, Sweden, is a Swedish musician, singer-guitarist, and songwriter. He first came to prominence as a founding member of the influential indie rock band Broder Daniel in the late 1980s, which he formed with classmates including Henrik Berggren and HĂ„kan Hellström during their school years in Gothenburg. Gilbert played bass and guitar in Broder Daniel before leaving the band in 1995. Following his early work with Broder Daniel, Gilbert became a key collaborator and longtime member of HĂ„kan Hellströmâs band as guitarist and vocalist, contributing to several of Hellströmâs albums and tours through the 2000s and early 2010s.
